1.在轿车车身用铝合金板材的研究方面取得重要成果,研究成果发表于Science,Acta Materialia等杂志,美国《Chemical and Engineering News》,英国《Materials Today》和荷兰的《Delta》报等科技新闻报导了他主导的这项研究工作;
2.关于电子显微学理论和方法的工作被国际著名教科书和综述文章重点引用;
3.与分子物理学家合作,发明了一种用透射电镜精确制作纳米孔器件的有效方法,用于大分子测量;
4.发现了SrBaTiO3薄膜中奇异的晶格变形现象;
5.发现了天然多晶金刚石(Carbonado)中畸形的voidites及其对材料微结构的影响;
6. 2006年获得美国加州郭可信教育基金会2006年度“郭可信杰出科学家”奖(两年一次,一次一人)和论文SCI引用1500余次;
