覃勇,男,1973年生。博士,中国科学院山西煤炭化学研究所研究员,博士生导师,煤转化国家重点实验室副主任,山西省学术技术带头人。1996 年于重庆大学获得学士学位,2001年于青岛科技大学获得硕士学位,2005年1月于中国海洋大学获得博士学位。2004年7月–2007年3月,在德国锡根大学助研从事科研工作。2007年4月–2011年9月在德国马普学会微结构物理研究所博士后研究。2011年10月回国到中国科学院山西煤炭化学研究所工作,并入选中国科学院“百人计划”。2013年6月入选山西省“百人计划”特聘专家。主要研究领域为纳米催化、纳米材料、原子层沉积方法及应用等。在Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、Nano Letters、ACS Nano、Adv. Funct. Mater、ACS Catal.、Small、Nano Research等杂志已发表SCI收录论文70多篇。
