讲授课程
主要讲授《现代无机化学》和《单晶结构分析》等本科生、研究生课程;指导博士后、博士生、硕士生以及国内访问学者的科研工作。
科研方向
功能金属配合物和聚合金属配合物超分子体系的分子设计、合成和结构与性能研究,重点在微孔配位聚合物、磁性配位聚合物、动态配位聚合物以及发光化合物的合成化学与晶体工程研究。
获奖情况
曾作为第一完成人获国家自然科学奖二等奖一项和广东省自然科学奖一等奖两项,并先后获得香港求是科技基金会“杰出青年学者奖”、第五届“中国青年科技奖”,以及教育部“全国优秀教师”等个人奖励。
1993年以来,主持国家杰出青年科学基金、国家基金委员会重点项目和国家973计划等国家和省部级等20余项科学基金课题。

陈小明院士荣获2017年度广东省科学技术奖-突出贡献奖,陈小明院士现为生物无机与合成化学教育部重点实验室主任、国家杰出青年基金获得者、长江学者特聘教授,从事功能金属配合物和聚合金属配合物超分子体系的分子设计、合成和结构与性能研究,重点在微孔配位聚合物、磁性配位聚合物、动态配位聚合物以及发光化合物的合成化学与晶体工程研究,曾获国家自然科学二等奖,成果在Science,J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Chem. Commun., Chem. Rev.等国际顶尖杂志发表。

陈小明简介
陈小明1983年、1986年分别在中山大学获得学士和硕士学位,1992年在香港中文大学获得博士学位。1992年起在中山大学化学学院工作至今,历任讲师、副教授(1993)、教授(1995)。1996年获得国家杰出青年科学基金资助,1999年受聘教育部长江学者特聘教授。2009年当选中国科学院院士,2013年当选发展中国家科学院(TWAS)院士。先后兼任生物无机与合成化学教育部重点实验室主任、中大化学院院长、中国晶体学会副理事长、中国科学院化学部常委及副主任、国家学位委员会化学学科评议组成员、国家基金委化学部专家咨询委员会成员、国际分子筛协会金属有机框架材料(MOF)委员会成员等职务等。
陈教授从事功能配位化学与晶体工程研究,特别是配位聚合物、金属有机框架材料等的设计与合成、结构与功能(吸附与分离、催化、光电磁、传感)研究,以及含能分子晶体研究。已在包括Science, JACS、Angew. Chem.、Nature Commun.、Adv. Mater.、Acc. Chem. Res.、Chem. Rev.和Chem. Soc. Rev.等学术刊物上发表论文400多篇;SCI他人引用次数累计超过3万次,H指数94。
曾获得国家自然科学奖二等奖(2007年)、发展中国家科学院TWAS化学奖(2012年)等学术奖励,连续入选Thomson Reuters/Clarivate全球高被引用化学家名录(2014-2107年)。
