苏成勇,中山大学教授、博士生导师,现任中山大学化学与化学工程学院副院长,长江学者特聘教授,“973”项目首席科学家。1968年10月出生于内蒙古。1996年毕业于兰州大学,获博士学位。曾在中山大学、美国南卡罗莱纳大学从事过博士后研究工作,在德国斯图加特大学做洪堡学者,香港中文大学做访问学者。目前主要从事与环境能源材料相关的超分子结构化学与配位超分子化学领域的研究,主持过国家杰出青年基金、973计划、国家自然科学基金(重点、面上、青年)、广东省自然科学基金等多项科研项目。迄今发表SCI收录论文200多篇,包括化学领域国际高水平研究性杂志如J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Chem., Chem. Mater., Chem. Commun. 等,论文被他引或评述4300多次,H指数39。应邀担任国际知名期刊Inorg. Chem. Comm.亚太地区主编,J. Mater. Chem.顾委,《科学通报》、《物理化学学报》、《化学进展》编委,中国晶体学会常务理事。曾获教育部高等学校科学技术奖自然科学奖一等奖(第一完成人,2007年)、广东省自然科学奖二等奖(第三完成人,2000年),2000年获中国化学会青年化学奖,2005年获国家杰出青年科学基金、广东省优秀博士后称号,2008年获广东青年五四奖章,2009年被评为南粤优秀教师,2010年获广东省丁颖科技奖, 2011年获宝刚优秀教师奖。

7月16日下午,化学学院全院教职工大会在丰盛堂A101举行。中山大学党委书记陈春声、党委组织部部长古小红出席会议,学院110多名教职工参加会议。会议由学院党委书记陈文波主持。
古小红部长首先宣读《中山大学关于苏成勇等任免职的通知》,任命苏成勇化学学院院长,免去毛宗万化学学院院长职务,免去巢晖化学学院副院长职务。
随后,陈春声书记为新任化学学院院长苏成勇颁发干部任命书。陈春声书记代表学校党委,对毛宗万同志和巢晖同志的工作给予了高度评价。他强调,毛宗万同志政治意识和大局观强,富有事业心、责任感和开拓精神,在担任院长的8年时间里,他积极谋改革、促发展、敢担当、善作为,学院在他及班子成员和教职工的努力下,取得了出色的成绩;巢晖同志政治立场坚定、组织纪律性强,工作认真负责、爱岗敬业、作风民主、廉洁自律,在副院长岗位上为学校和学院发展做出了贡献。学校党委对毛宗万同志和巢晖同志的辛勤付出表示衷心感谢。他同时指出,苏成勇同志具有良好的政治素质和工作能力,全局观强,希望苏成勇同志作为化学学院新一任院长,在学院发展的道路上能够秉承开拓进取的精神,保持目前良好的发展势头,继续快马加鞭让学院的事业更上一层楼。
毛宗万同志在发言中表示,他对学校任命苏成勇同志为学院新一任院长表示坚决拥护,对学校和学院历届领导以及广大师生对学院工作的大力支持表示衷心感谢。近年来,学院一直在稳步发展,期待在新一任院长的领导下,学院的发展迈向新的台阶。
巢晖副院长表示,本科教学工作既光荣也艰辛,感谢全体老师为教学工作的敬业付出。期待在新一任院长的领导下,学院的教学和科研再创新辉煌。
新任院长苏成勇同志做履职发言。他首先感谢学校领导、学院领导和全体老师对自己的充分信任和重托,他表示,学校目前进入快速发展的关键时期,无论是“三大建设”、“双一流”目标,还是“三校区五校园”的布局,一系列的变革和转型不仅给化学学院带来了机遇,同时也带来了艰巨的挑战。相信在学校的大力支持和全体老师的共同努力下,学院的事业一定可以发展得更好,学院的明天也一定会更加美好。
学院党委陈文波书记表示,学院有精诚团结的传统,毛宗万同志、巢晖同志为学院发展倾力付出。他坚决拥护学校决定,今后将全力支持苏成勇院长工作,与学院班子及全院师生共同努力推进学院发展,不负学校重托与期望。

创新研究群体项目支持优秀中青年科学家为学术带头人和研究骨干,共同围绕一个重要研究方向合作开展创新研究,培养和造就在国际科学前沿占有一席之地的研究群体。
    从统计情况上看,今年共有30家单位获得38项创新研究群体项目,总金额达到3.9亿,单个项目的直接费用资助强度为1050万元/项(其中数学和管理科学单个项目资助强度为735万元/项)。其中北京大学、清华大学、中国科学技术大学和华中科技大学获得3项,并列第一。
