温敏荧光双发射和可转换的圆偏振发光(CPL)特性是有机小分子发光材料研究中两个非常有应用前景但又非常有挑战性的性能。为此,山东大学赵翠华教授课题组设计合成了一类新型的三芳基硼类衍生物,2,2’-二(N,N-二取代)氨基-6,6’-二(二米基硼)-1,1’-联萘,与传统的具有D-p-A结构的三芳基硼不同,这一结构的1,1’-联萘衍生物实质上由通过单键相连的两个独立的D-p-A单元组成,这一独特的结构特性连同1,1’-联萘的轴手性以及硼取代的电子效应和位阻效应可以赋予整个体系其它手性有机小分子所无法实现的独特光学性能。
研究发现利用这一骨架,仅仅通过简单地选择不同的氨基即可实现温敏荧光双发射和可转换的CPL特性这两个非常有挑战性的性能。中科院化学所彭谦研究员对该体系的发光机理进行了详尽的理论研究,揭示了低激发态和高激发态之间的竞争发射的双发射机理,合理解释了上述实验现象。该项研究为获得具有温敏荧光双发射和可转换的CPL特性的有机小分子发光材料提供了有效的分子设计方法和可靠的理论依据。
