李长明,教授,博士生导师。美国医学生物工程院院士,西南大学洁净能源与先进材料研究院院长。1986年获武汉大学博士学位。曾就职于美国摩托罗拉公司,期间共获50多项发明专利,是美国摩托罗拉公司最高科学技术奖“美国摩托罗拉杰出发明人铂金徽章奖”获得者之一。2003年起任职于新加坡南洋理工大学,曾任南洋理工大学终身正教授,化学与生物医药工程学院生物工程系系主任,南洋理工大学先进生物纳米系统中心主任。 李教授先后主持了美国、新加坡、澳大利亚的基金项目30多项,并与美国、英国、瑞士、新加坡、韩国、澳大利亚、中国、台湾、香港等国家和地区高校与研究所均有科研合作,并建立起了学生互派、共同培养研究生等多种实质性交流合作。发表了《美国化学会会志》、《德国应用化学》、《先进材料》、《物理评论快报》、《先进功能材料》、《化学通讯》等在内的高质量SCI文章300多篇, 总引用逾3000次。拥有美国、新加坡等国的专利80多项,撰写有多部专著,是国际知名科学家。

11月27号,科睿唯安(Clarivate Analytics)发布了2018年“高被引科学家”(Highly-Cited Researchers 2018)名单,我校材料与能源学部李长明教授入选综合交叉学科领域高被引科学家,成为西南大学本年度唯一一位全球高被引科学家。
科睿唯安一直基于Web of Science中论文发表数量和引文数据,精选发表"高被引论文"(即在同年度同学科领域中引文影响力排在前1%的论文)的科研人员。本年度名单涉及21个自然科学与社会科学领域,该名单遴选出了各领域中高被引论文数量最多的科研人员,其引文记录显示了他们在全球的顶级学术影响力。
